No amount of moping around and sulking is going to bring summer back so i might as well embrace the cards we have be dealt right. One thing i do love about A/W fashion is how rich and luxurious it is. From decedent prints to opulent fabrics, the whole feel is very regal . A really easy way to achieve this look is to play with texture. Mixing up different textures really add some dimension and interest to an outfit making it look more expensive. Heavier Winter materials are just synonymous with this feel.  Lace , velvet , leathers , Suede , faux fur and jacquard are key fabrics to try if you want to explore this more. I went with a velvet…

A sale buy is only really a bargain if you are going to actually get good wear or use from your purchase. Tempting as it is to go crazy when we see the word SALE , it can be a waste of money. Generally with sales, stores are getting rid of past season stock to make way for the new gear to arrive. Those kind of sales aren’t always the best. Now and again though a sale can come along and have a lot of really decent lines reduced. Lines that can still be worn and will be worn as the season changes. Just this week that happened. The infamous River Island sale dropped and as usual there was huge…

Thursday night saw the return of the Irish Blog Awards. This year, the online giants Littlewoods took the reigns to put on a spectacular show. Literally. I attended the awards for the first time last year as a guest with a brand. I was so new to the blogging world and sat in awe of the talent that surrounded me. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that one year on there i would be , a finalist.

Spring Into Autumn With This Look Of The Day. You don’t have to look out the window to know that Summer is well and truly gone. That leaves us is that awkward spot again – total wardrobe limbo. I feel this outfit is quite appropriate for the timing but with a few tweeks could work well and truely into the next S/S. Without further adue – Spring Into Autumn With This Look Of The Day.

I know it’s so bad for you but coke is my favourite thing in the world. *Queue the lectures*. It is my vice. I just can’t help my love for those bubbles. Despite warnings from my late Nanny – ” Give up that Coke look what it did to Robbie Williams”. Wrong coke nan sorry. Following on from a childhood of school trips to the Coca-cola factory – “Give that girl a can of coke” and collecting bottle labels religiously for merchanise, the feeling has not left me. As you know in the fashion world things always come full circle. Vintage is cool darling! With retro trends still reigning supreme it was only a matter of time before the tee’s came…

Cast your mind back to the cusp of Autumn / Winter 2013 – one boot ruled the runway and graced the feet of every fashionista going. Well a pair of boots actually, it wasn’t that kind of trend. The Balenciaga Ceinture Boots where everything. The style of these cut-out boots with statement buckles was a force to be reckoned with. Of course the high street and designers a like queued up to release their take on this “it” boot.   I myself bought New Look‘s offering. As affordable and close to this style as i could find. I was chuffed. I’d been a biker boots kind of girl but was absolutely loving the cut-out trend. They gave off the same…

I was lucky enough to be asked to give a style talk at a Ladies Day hosted by Becky from Lipstick, Glitter & Me. The event was for charity and a really worthy cause. Being able to put my passion to use for some good was something i didn’t have to think twice about. What i did have to think about, was what exactly was i going to talk about? Fashion is so broad. You will have heard me say a thousand times over that fashion is everywhere and everything. One thing i am very certain about though is that fashion is for everyone. Style is what makes it personal. I picked 5 really easy tips that anyone can use or…

My hair is the vain of my life. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been close to pulling a Britney. It’s neither curly nor straight, just frizzy and unruly. Forever in search of sleek, shiny, smooth hair. Thankfully my prayers were heard and answered. Reflections Hair and Beauty Tallaght has had a huge makeover recently. Along with the face-lift comes some really talented, current stylists using the latest services and techniques. This is were my savior comes in. A stylist by the name of Jess has joined the Reflections team. Having had the pleasure of working with Jess previously on shoots that i have styled, i knew her work well. While chatting about her new position and my awful…
