Carraig Donn Curve

As i joyfully announced the other week Carraig Donn have introduced a curve range in sizes 16-28. Yay! I was delighted when they reached out and asked did i wanna try some bits.? Umm yeah! Inclusivity is something i live for and it really gets my blood pumping when i see more and more brands moving forward in the right direction. I am familiar with CD as a brand after styling some looks using their pieces for In Tallaght Magazine. That and my mother is obsessed with their homewares.

So down to the nitty gritty with things worth a mention. Personally i found the sizing really good. I had a little bit of room in the pieces i tried, just the way i like my clothes to fit. I think the team have chose well with the shapes. There is a good mix of both party wear and wardrobe staples. The curve range is available online now and in selected stores.

Here is a goo at the first piece i tried. If only instagram did scratch and stroke so you could feel the fabric. Oh mmmm it’s the softest. I’m not sure i’ve ever felt material like it. I would of ideally loved to go bare leg but i have given into the fact that it’s just too cold and function has to trump fashion every now and then. The rust colour is perfect for this time of year and the gold hardware on the wrap gives a touch of luxe. I think ill wear this two more ways minimum – layered with a polo neck underneath plus knee boots and jazzed up with some jewellery and a clutch for a dressy but comfy look.

Here you have the second piece that i chose to try on for size. Another dress which i ain’t mad at either. On first impressions i thought i slightly prefered the shorter rust coloured dress but after trying them on, this shape was just effortless on the body. So figure friendly and dare i say forgiving. Both the wrap and buttons details are faux but that means less fuss really. The fabric is the same as before, super soft to the touch. It feels really comfortable on the skin and worn with ease. The print is something a little different and the contrasting buttons add a little extra. Placement of the buttons draw the eye down and out creating a fab shape. I bared the cold with a bare leg here as the midi length didn’t leave as much skin uncovered. Tights would work equally fine. A knee boot and a polo neck underneath again would style a really 70’s vibe. I can see this being a real winner over the festive period with always somewhere to go.

A very image heavy post but something i wanted to get down and share. It’s always a pleasure to spread the word of inclusivity. I am quite looking forward to watching this section grow.
