There once was a time where those two words in the same sentence would make me shudder. * White Boots * . Oh how times have changed. Fashion is funny that way. White footwear in general used to be considered on the tacky side. I hang my head in shame at the ones i wore circa 2004. Kitten heels no less. I don’t do things by halves me. A few years back now i shocked myself and picked up a pair of cut-out boots in the notorious white. I’m talking recent years here. They made for great summer wear with little floral dresses and leather jackets. I resided on the fact that they were only working because of the style…

Mustard Yellow Blazers. Yes…Yes… And…YES! Blazers in general but I absolutely adore the look of these. Wear with the simplest of pieces for a really low-key stylish look. Jeans and a tee to leather trousers and a cami. For a night wear buttoned closed over a shorter tube style skirt with heels for a modern take on 80’s power dressing. Such a bright and happy colour to inject some life into your Spring wardrobe. This edition of Fifty Friday is a special one. I adore putting together these style posts but i had the idea to try something different. There was only one place to go to kick this new take on the feature. Full head to toe outfits for under fifty euro from the Penneys / Primark Spring 18 collection.   I pitched the idea to the guys at Penneys HQ and was delighted that they wanted to collaborate on this one. I’ve been working on this one for awhile but when i realised i could probably do it for under fifty euro a light bulb went off. It made sense the that the theme for this edition of Fifty Friday would be the age old ‘ Jeans And A Nice Top‘ . There is not a girls group chat in the land that those five words have not made an appearence in. The answer to the question ‘ What are you wearing girls? ‘. Like are we going out-out or just out? This is something that my wardrobe is always lacking in. I have pyjamas and ball gowns. Nothing in between. A nice top is way too handy to have. Solves…

Typically two piece trouser suits have been synonymous with menswear,  work or a day in court. Towards the end of last year as Autumn / Winter took hold and statement suits were paving a way for themselves. We had started to see celebrities take risks on the red carpet by ditching the dress in favour of a more androgynous look. A real statement in such an understated and effortless way. More and more offerings crept into the shops making this trend really accessible.   Tailoring and more importantly suits don’t have to be boring. It really comes down to the styling with this one. For those brave enough, for a night out, i think that bralets , lace camis and…
