Denim shorts – Check . Flower Crown – Check. Sunglasses – Optimistic but – Check. Wellies – Check. That’s you festival ready but what about those little things to get you through the weekend. No not that kind. I’m talking a those small items that will go a long way to saving the day this festival season. A few must have essentials to make tent and field life a little more bearable. A little list of some essential supplies to take with you , the bare essentials that will leave you free to relax and enjoy yourself.
Start with the most essential right. We all know batteries these days just don’t last. Chances are your phone will be out of juice three hours in. I mean if you didn’t Snapchat it, did it even happen?

There is one requirement of phone battery that is the least first world and that would be to use the phone for it’s intended purpose. We all have that one friend who wanders off and gets lost or we are that friend that wanders off and gets lost. Either way this is where having a portable charger will come in handy to charge up on the go. There are some really light, compact styles available too that you can pop neatly into your bumbag like a good hun.
Speaking of bumbags. I mean if this is not the bumbag of all bumbags i dunno what is. The fanny-pack , As our friends across the water would say , has been the festival bag of choice in recent years. Hands free and pretty secure. This one here not only looks amazing in multicoloured sequins but also doubles up as a speaker! Keep the party going between sets or back at the tent by simply hooking up your phone with the lead. Genius. It looks the business but is also a multi tasker. I absolutely love this!
The first thing that came to mind when i saw this product was – Crouching tiger hidden naggin. This is ideal for keeping your phone, money and other valuables safe and easy to reach for. I have since seen this option too that also clips onto your bra and will be hidden under your top. Presumably for those who will be wearing a top. No judgement here. Keeping your stuff away and safe leave your hands free for drinks and dancing.
Keeping Clean At Festivals
These genius little packets contain all you need to give the body a little freshen up. They come in handy packs of 6. The little sachets are really slim so can be easily slid into your bag without taking up any room. I tried this little invention out on holidays to freshen up after a long day of travelling. On one side is a wet wipe that is cool and quickly freshens you up. The next best thing when you can’t get to a shower. The wipe itself is generous in size, not your average baby wipe. Give your bits a little wipe clean and then bin the wipe. The second part of the sachet houses another wipe. This one is bone dry though that acts a little disposable towel to dry you off. Really quick , easy , no mess and no big bulky bottles to carry or queues to stand in. Like i said i used the paper shower packs while travelling too as they can be used for pretty much anything. Great for those who walk to work or get a work out done at lunch time and need a little something to quickly freshen you up. Cleanse without the need for water. Secret Fashion Fixes actually have a special festival pack with these shower wipes in but also includes some others like loo wipes that will also come in handy.
For those who are camping out at festivals this summer there are a lot of things to remember and pack. An essential being toothpaste. Waking up with a mouth like Gandhi’s flip-flop after a long day and night of partying is to be expected. The sinks and facilities are always such a long walk from camp. These chewable tablets are a good way to quickly wash and freshen up your gob. Although not a substitute for toothpaste but rather something to tide you over for the day that’s in it. Penneys have cute little mini travel toothbrush and toothpaste sets too for €1.50 that can be thrown into your bag taking up minimal space.
Just because eww.
The toilet situation at festivals can be traumatising. All kinds of disgusting. A girls gotta go though. You may have seen these little contraptions lately. Cuts out the dreaded squat in porta loos and can help make the experience slightly better. I have always envied blokes for their ability to wee standing up. Hello 2017. You can get disposable ones but these are reasuable so enviornmentally friendly.

* I AM LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE SENT/GIFTED ITEMS FROM BRANDS. ITEMS MARKED WITH THE ASTERISK HAVE BEEN SENT TO ME OR BOUGHT WITH VOUCHERS FROM A BRAND. THIS DOES IN NO WAY INFLUENCE MY THOUGHTS OR DECISIONS. ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN. ANY CLOTHES I RECEIVE I CHOOSE MYSELF AND AM VERY GRATEFUL. I ONLY SHARE THINGS I REALLY LOVE.
