It is Christmas week, how that happened i will never know. I swear it was July like five minutes ago. As with every year i swear that i will be more orgainsed this year. Get in early have all gifts wrapped and under the tree so i am free to enjoy the festivities. Another thing i always say is that next year i will try to buy more Irish. Shop local and support some more good causes. There are a few benefits of buying local. No lengthy delivery waits which is perfect for last minute buys. It is good for the local and national economy to support Irish companies and businesses too. Some really different and personalised choices in products too that will make for really nice gifts. I have put together a quick list below for a few ideas. Here’s to next year lol.
Inis is a fragrance the girls in family have used for years. One that still to this day my sister picks up in Duty Free whilst at the airport. A fresh, distinctive scent and one that is Irish. Instantly recogniseable. One that lingers but in a good way. Getting a whiff of this smell really takes me right back. I was lucky enough to win a load of Inis goodies at the Blog Awards last year. I have been using a lot of the products since but also gave some away on my Facebook too. So many agreed that they loved this brand too making Inis a great gift. A piece of Ireland to those abroad but also to anyone who appreciates a good fresh scent. From the classic perfume to sets featuring various products. My favourite has to be the candles. They look good but also smell amazing. Everything is available to nab online now right here. I know i would be delighted if i found some of these products in my stocking Christmas morning.

Newbridge Silver is a really well known Irish treasure. A really classic brand dipped in history and culture. Obviously more well known for well , silver , the company has moved with the times. They now offer a varied range of products. I got a piece for my birthday last year. A stunning torc style necklace from the eShe range. This collection is fab! Really cool stylish and modern pieces. Something a little different from the traditional silver jewellery that Newbridge are famous for. There are a few more pieces from this collection that i would love. Another thing i really liked was the little notebooks that they do. Being a stationary geek, these are right up my street. My Mother asked my Dad for a piece from the Amy Huberman line for Christmas and i have to say it’s vey current and wearable.
Nima is an award winning Irish company that sell beautiful make-up brushes. The perfect gift for any beauty lover and again supporting an Irish girl with the business she has grown. Each brush is named after a different lady including a friend of mine Ali , the talented Ali Dee Hairdressing. This is a brand i have heard nothing but good things about and look forward to getting to know more.

To Be Or KNOT To Be
How about a unique one off handmade item? Kasia, a seriously talented lady , makes Zpagetti Yarn handmade statement necklaces. Completely unique and really different. Handmade from recycled fabric which is a bonus. In a varied range of fabrics, prints and textures. I adore the little pom-pom trims that give a little something extra. This style is right up my street and look so good with off the shoulder pieces. This talented beauty has continued to push herself and create new products. Her tassel earrings are nothing short of stunning. So light and easy to wear in the ear. The ombre style is really different too. I see big things for this lady. Kasia’s cool and beautiful pieces are available for sale on her Etsy store.

There are also plenty of Irish department type stores that stock international products. It is nice to support these when picking up your favourite brands. For beauty Simply foxy , Dolled Up and Cloud 10. These are all irish owned online beauty stores who stock the leading brands and products. For more traditional Irish style gifts and products Kilkenny , Avoca and Arnotts all stock a very varied range of products.
Well that is all i could think of right now. What are your favourite Irish places to buy from?
