Look Of The Day #25

Today’s look is a super affordable courtesy of Penneys. Where would we be without our beloved Penneys hun? Totting up to around the fifty note mark this look could of possibly made it into a different post. This one is definetly something i would chuck on of a Summers evening.      Bandanas have been big the last while so it is no surprise their ‘signature print’ is making it’s way onto other pieces. This dress is a prime example. A light summers dress in a fab red displaying the monochrome pattern. A basic price but lots of cool. The drawstring waist is a huge plus making the shape flattering to the figure. Denim jackets are great for Spring /…

Look Of The Day #24

It’s a two for one look of the day today. Taking one dress and looking at two ways to style it. I really liked both and thought it would be good to show this is versitile to the occassion. This blue dress from H&M is so chic. The colour and fabric is so reminisant of a classic blue shirt. It doesn’t get much chicer than that. I have seen lots of variations in tops but when i say this dress i thought it was really different. All the classics of the colour and fabric with the twist of the strap detail. I really like how they are cut on the shoulders and finished with a little ruffle frill. A lovely…

Fifty Friday | H&M Ireland Online

You can’t see me but be assured i am doing a little dance right now. My amazing insider informed me a couple of weeks back that H&M where finally launching an Irish site. I have been waiting impatiently ever since. Until now us lovers of the Swedish brand on the Emerald isle could not shop online. There was ways around it that i tried over the years but all carried extra effort and long waits. It puzzled me for the longest time why we were so far behind the times. The day finally came yesterday! The site launched. Does the dance make sense now? Okay okay as if we needed more oppertunity to shop. It will be dangerous but so…

Look Of The Day #23

Easter has come and gone and the clocks have sprung forward. We are officially supposed to be full of the joys of Spring now. I didn’t get that memo but i’m gonna slip this one in before the April showers. Yeah i bore on about the weather a lot. It does affect how we dress though so i think it is valid. The jury is out on how transitional this look is but i see it working. This is a great skirt. Great print, great colour palette, great shape. Wrap styles are classic and super flattering. Ask DVF , she has made millions from it. The shape and side tie have a way of drawing the eye fown and across. The…

Fifty Friday | Pleated Skirts

This week all the outfits feature pleated skirts. Midi in length to be precise. The majority of the looks came in under budget with two coming in just slightly over. I personally find accordion pleats really flattering, especially worn high waisted. These type of skirts make for great occassion-wear. One of those pieces that are made for twirling around in. Adding some heels and a fancy top will see you great as a wedding guest look. To mix things up, pair with some tough boots and a shirt. For summer add some flat sandals and a light top. A classic black will be a gret wardrobe staple while a bright colour will serve well as a statement piece. Necklace €2…

Look Of The Day #22

Back today with a sweet but chic look. I think there is a perfect mix and balance of both with this outfit. Monochrome being so classic but current is something i love. The skirt gives a very girly, feminine feel. Pairing a lace top works as the material is quite sweet too. Adding the boot keeps the look cool and modern with the lucite heel. A simple stud earring to finish as i didn’t want to add anything else. The fabric detailing does all the talking here. I like this one i have to say. These boots are really popular at the moment. I think they fit well here. Looking to Summer this skirt will be great. My mind is…

Card Holders | Downsizing

What is in your bag? Phone, keys, perfume, hand cream, make-up, the kitchen sink? We carry around so much everyday including, big bulging, hefty wallets. If you are like me your purse is busting at the seems. Wishful thinking would have it stuffed with money and this would be a poor me / 1st world problem tagged post then. I just seem to have a billion cards, receipts, a sterling 2p coin for me trolley in Tesco. The list goes on. I need all this stuff. I think. Awhile back i had got really sick of my usual handbags. Yes i loved how they looked and styling them with outfits. Carrying them, not so much. Id taken to switching to really small bags or…

Fifty Friday | Boho Buys

It’s Friday again. I know it feels like a Sunday, thats what having Paddy’s Day on a Thursday does to you. The weeks keep on rolling in and the shops are filling up with the cutest summer pieces. I have been so good – so far. I’ve not bought anything of the extremely sunny weather required nature. The last few years i dove in wayyyyy too early and was kind of sick of what i had got when it came time for my summer holidays. Although, yes you do need to strike while the iron is hot for those pieces that just won’t stick around, i am just trying to be more selective. That was until i started outting together…

Styling March Edition | In Tallaght Magazine

Still pinching myself that i have had yet another opportunity to style the fashion segment of In Tallaght Magazine. The March edition was a kids Easter themed shoot. I got to cast some of my favourite little people to be my models. We had a absolute ball on set, these kids were naturals. I am so proud of how well they did and am delighted with my choice. We had a little Easter egg hunt, this was the most fun shoot so far. It was too cute picking little outfits out and something different for me. Have a read on to shop the shoot and maybe get some inspiration for your little ones this Easter.  Saoirse – Dress €48 – €57…

Look Of The Day #21

This week one of the top dogs, River Island, released their plus size range. This is brilliant news for girls of a size. For the longest time fashion was very limiting for curvier girls. Most places that sizes ran bigger just stocked very basic pieces. In the last two years especially the high street has really upped it’s game. RI is the latest to accomodate sizes 18-24 with up to the minute stylish pieces. The first hit has landed online. Here, although these pieces are basics they are staples. A chic striped tee is always great to have. Fresh and clean cut coming into Spring. Paired here with a denim midi skirt. Tuck the top in or leave it out…
