Look Of The Day #20

There is nothing i like more than a versatile piece. Something that has endless styling potential. A piece you can wear and wear again in so many different ways. Adapt your look with ease to your mood and plans. I think this jumpsuit is one of those magical pieces. A cool monochrome print culotte leg jumpsuit that i can see working a lot of ways. Insanely affordable and worth way more than it’s Penney’s price tag. In this outfit here i have paired the suit with a midi heel for an easy day to night look. Comfort but well presented. A shoulder bag in matching black can be used as a clutch in the evening. A relaxed denim jacket to…

Look Of The Day #19

Back with an occassional Look Of The Day. Perfect for a Spring Wedding. A soft, romantic style look that is extremely chic. I cannot believe the price and quality of this dress. I posted before about New Look running dresses that rival that Self Portrait designer style. You can see that here for my ramblings on the matter. Often “dupes” are cheap in all senses of the word. This offering is stunning and well made though. The fresh white lace design is layered over a soft flesh colour. A really classy look of neutral tones. The accessories were kept in the same hues of soft nudes and stones. The diamond detail on the shoes is picked up by the stones…

Fifty Friday | Sweatin The Sweet Stuff

Friday, we have to stop meeting like this. I feel like i blink and it’s time to put together another collection of fifty euro looks. Not that i am complaining, means summer will be here quicker. This weeks the focus is sweaters, known for their comfort. Typically for the gym or lounging around the house with a hun bun and a face full of sudocream. These can be a fun way to inject a cheeky slogan or print into your wardrobe. It goes without saying that sweaters are perfect for casual looks but then be dressed up really cool. My favourite way to wear these is layered over a collared shirt and paired with a skirt. For day to day easy…

Look Of The Day #18

There are three reasons why i went for this outfit today. 1. New Look are on fire at the minute. As you will know, they are my go to most of the time anyways. But the last few weeks in particular the new season pieces are ticking all of the boxes. 2. I cannot stop dreaming about Summer. That bit of sunlight we got today has only added fuel to that fire. And finally number 3. I have been putting together some looks for a city break style post. A trip between now and Summer to somewhere with a little bit more heat. Any excuse for a little shop and some outfit planning.  Khaki is very prominent in the shops…

International Women’s Day | Inspiring Ladies

Us ladies rock. Being a feminist has a certain stigma attached to it though. There isn’t always that much support for each other either. Not in a burning our bra’s and plaiting our leg hair kind of way. Instead i like to think of the positives of modern day women absolutely killing it in this sometimes brutal world. We drew the short straw biologically with the whole peeing sitting down and womb falling out every 28 days thing. That is before hormones and emotions. Who hasn’t cried when there is no milk in the fridge? Even when they don’t like milk. See it’s tough at the top. And at the top is where i’m going with this one. So even with…

Look Of The Day #17

Carrying on from last nights post, this one is on the same vibe. Summery looks that can work now and be rehatched come holidays. That colour-wheel theory i learnt in college tells that orange and blue are oposite to each other. This meaning although they look very strong side by side, they still work together. These tones of rust and pale blue are a really subtle combo. I feel they go like navy and tan do. A pairing that i really like. Again with last night there is a statement skirt and a top which pulls a colour from the print in the skirt. The shoes go absolutely perfect with the baby blue in the bottom half. The heel pulls…

Look Of The Day #16

I am telling ya, that snow the other day has done nothing but make me look at Summer clothes. Dreaming of sunny days and the outfits they allow me to wear. Those days are a long way away but a little window shopping won’t hurt. There are more and more bright colours and prints filtering through the shops. Some that are even wearable now. Take this look for example, this would work for a night out now. Taxi to bar job but still wearable. The bardot is available in black too if you are not fully ready to commit to coral just yet. The printed skirt would work now with tights and a black top no worries. Break this combo…

Fifty Friday | Maxi-must

No but seriously how is it Friday again? I swear i was just drowning in paisley like five minutes ago. This year is flying already. Not that i want to wish my life away, but some nice weather would be nice. That is where this idea came in.So what will this weeks outfits for fifty euro be?Maxi dresses you can wear right now, as the cheesy title may or may not suggest.Tradationally this type of dress is associated with the summer season. Well that or floor length formal but we aint going in that direction. I am talking about cool wearable season in season out maxi dresses. Wear now for a pub lunch and again through summer with sandals. Of…

Look Of The Day #15

Today’s look mainly centers around a statement skirt. A really standout piece with stunning green and gold stitchwork. The raw hem detail finishes it off beautifully. A great value piece to add basics from your wardrobe to. With this look i kept the top quite basic with a slight twist. Black in colour to be subtle against the skirt, while the shoulder detail adds a little something. The same idea with the shoes really. A black shoe ties in well without being too much. The bag was the place i added some colour – that being a mettalic accent. The gold will sit well against the skirt without making any fuss. A nice night look that could be dressed up…

Look Of The Day #14

Going to do something a little bit different today. It has come to that time of the year when all the mammy’s are stressed to the nines about what to wear to Confirmations and Communions.  There have been some church appropriate looks already with a full post on the way. I thought but why not put together a look for the little ones too.  Give some inspiration maybe. New Look have a brilliant teen section with lots of styles. I liked the colour of this pretty dress. Something she could wear again over the summer. Pop a little tee or shirt underneath if you want to loose the jacket until then. Adding some little shoes and pretty frill socks would…
