Look Of The Day #13

I know i know, there has been an overload of tan shoe/bag combos here lately. That is how the cookie crumbles. I think tan is always a good buy, like with black it works for all seasons. Great with autumn shades but compliments Spring/Summer looks so well. I pulled the tan colour from the print in this dress. A very 60’s silhoutte with its high neck collar, right down to the sleeves and legth. I really like the colour and print. The shape too so i guess it is a winner for me. A nice piece for an occassion that will be comfy and put together. I paired these lace sandals that will carry great through to Sunnier times. A…

Fifty Friday | Paisley Please

When i think of paisley i get the mental image of like musty old curtains and awful wallpaper. The kind you the posh couple from Gogglebox have. Not the hilarious drunk two, the other pair that their clothes seem to blend in with the walls. Do you get where i’m going with this? Paisley is a really old fashioned type of print. It is quite regal even though there is something quite bohemian about it. So i thought i would challenge myself to put together several looks of paisley-ness that are far from dreery, dusty curtains. Modern and cool wears to wear this print. Anddd all for under fifty euros. Wish me luck. The easiest way to get in on…

Look Of The Day #12

Cool comfort is the basis of todays look. A great way of doing casual but still keeping some style. A little bit street and a lot of attitude for modern busy lives. Starting off with one of this seasons key pieces – the bomber jacket. This option is a longer version wich adds a little something extra. These jackets ooze cool and have serious edge about them. Adding in a stripe tee because it’s me. I think it works well though and has a similar longline fit. Picking up the red detailing on the top with a red trainer. Runners have become serious style staples of late. Who would have thought it. I aint complaining though. Pairing the top with…

Look Of The Day #11

Today’s look is a winner for me. I adore this shirt. A really pretty floral shirt that just has Spring written all over it. The tie waist detail will give gorgeous shape. A very flattering, fresh piece. With the soft, light top half i have paired some leather trousers. These biker style pants have been a sell out in Zara the past few seasons. The rough texture and hard metal details make them really edgy. The juxtaposition between the fabrics and colours here makes for a really interesting look. If you are afraid of the harshness that comes with leather, then this kind of top is perfect for keeping a balance. A bag in the soft blush tone compliments the shirt…

Look Of The Day #10

Back today with a snazzy occassion look. Full of sparkle and drama. I always get asked about what to wear to weddings and other church events. How do keep style in a look but make it appropriate for the occassion. I absolutely love 2 pieces. Adding a beaded or sequined top to a flowy skirt will look stunning. Something different to just going straight for a dress. This grey pleated midi is a stunning skirt. Very versatile and chic. Pairing navy isnt as heavy as black but still very rich. I like these shades together in this look. You could add a necklace or some earrings but not much more is needed. Silver shoes will work great too. I would…
