Scarf Detail Bags

I saw the bag below and it reminded me of something i have done for years. Adding a scarf to your handbag is a great styling trick. It adds colour and can create an expensive look to an old or bargain bag. This one has it done for you in the style of a small little silk scarf bow. This is something you can experiment with and do yourself. I invested in this Gucci scarf just before i finished up working with them. It was an investment as i can wear in so many ways. Look how its adds to and changes this €20 River Island bag. The print is one of my favourite ever from them, i loved the collection as a…

Palazzo Princess

These wide leg wonders are making a comeback. If you remember or throw back to about 3 years ago these were around for awhile. Trousers and culottes have gained popularity and are going nowhere. There are several styles to these and ways to wear these. There are 70’s retro vibes, boho gypsy vibes and chic city slicker. The key to nailing these pants is all about the top you pair with them. Keep your top half slimline to balance out the proportions. A crop top, tie hem tee or tucked in blouse/shirt. Adding anything over-sized will swamp your frame and look sloppy. Don’t worry that your height or shape isn’t right for this style. Almost anyone can wear these. Bigger…

Sleeveless Coats

This meanswear inspired look show coats minus the sleeves have been sweeping the streets over the last season. Such an effortless style. The sleeveless blazer had bren around for awhile with thanks to Olivia Polermo. This evolved and so did the length. It went longline and heavier in material. This is right up my street. The eternal struggle between staying warm and over heating. Faux fur gilets were my staple for A/W. These up that game to a more grown-up level. Really chic. The layering possibilities are endless. Over polonecks, knitwear, striped sleeves, printed dresses and so on and so forth. Camel and grey are really popular options. Quite chic colours and abit timeless. As with any waistcoat i talk about…

Garnier Micellar Water

One of my fav products at the moment is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. This cult product has had lots of hype about it. It cleanses and removes make-up all in one. There is no rinsing, no wipes just a splash on a cotton pad. Safe to use on your eyes and lips too which is great. This removes the harshest of eye make-up and lipstains with no irritation.  I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin since using the cleansing water. It feels so clean and refreshed. Its less dry without any moisturiser. You can see by the cotton pad just what badness its taking out of your skin. Yuck! So much better for your face than wipes. Your skin is…

Whiter Than White

Who says you cant wear white all year round? If worn right you can wear what you like. White is tricky sometimes. It really is all about how you wear it or risk being tacky looking. With Trousers growing more and more popularity I’ve taken a look at some white ones. Cigarette pants are a gorgeous shape and style, really Parisian. A classy night look with barely there heels. Pair with a knitted jumper or shirt. For those who dare a crop or bralet balances well with the proportions of the trousers. The will be gorgeous in summer with a tan but nothing is to say you cant wear them now with a nod to the nautical or utility trends.…

Those Khaki Camel Stripes

I talk a lot about combos. Certain colours and prints i love to mix and wear together. Khaki and stripes is a new fav. Black/white stripes or even navy or red stripes for that look great colour blocked against lots of bright colours. The stripe print pops against solid accent colours. This new combination is a different one for me but one im enjoying trying out. A deep rich khaki coat over a striped tee and black skinnies is really chic. Speaking of chic with camel being one of the chicest colours ever. Classic. Timeless. These looks fit into the new utility trend perfectly. A modern twist on the way we have seen this kind of trend before ♡

Golden Globes 2015

Here is a round-up of last nights Golden Globes red carpet dresses. There were a few surprises and few we could have bet our lives on…. Jennifer Aniston wore black! So lets ask the famous question- ” who are you wearing?” Kate Hudson in Versace As stunning as kate looks this dress did split opinion. Some didnt like the cut-out details. Her body looks amazing. I get Liz Hurley circa that safety pin dress vibes from this look. Lupita Nyong’o in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. last years queen of the carpets wowed in this floral gown. It swished and swayed so beautiful. Not like we ever doubted her. Emily Blunt in Micheal Kors. Grecian as predicted. The colour, shape and…

BOOHOO Brilliance

Boohoo has always been a great place for a fashionable bargain. Their latest drop is no different. So many really cool pieces. Print is prominent, mainly checks. The culotte jumpsuit is really chic especially the olive colour option. Some great pieces to start off the year when you are not quite sure what to be wearing. There is definetly a cool street style vibe off these pieces. Trousers, playsuits and jumpsuits are done really well in keeping with that current trend. If you are looking for some fresh denim there is plenty. Distressed or mom fit are a cool pick. I love these great wearable dresses. Wear now with tights and a biker jacket or gilet. Later on with a bare…
