H&M’s Spring Print Craze

H&M have some serious prints in their new Spring Collection. Some really cool and kooky concepts. A totally different take on animal print. From insects to crabs. Yuppp crabs. Lots of birdies too. Some of these are stunningly chic too – very fashion forward. All of these for great highstreet prices. These pieces wouldnt be out of place next to many brands.  Short coat €39.99 Probably the most “could be designer” piece ive seen this year. This coat is just stunning. A really great spring piece in beautiful colours. Are those storks? You know the place where babies come from? The olive tones look great against the sweetness of the dusky pink. The price does not reflect the goodness here.…

PS Love That Brush Cleanser

Back in December i posted a picture of this PS Love This brush cleanser. I spotted this in Penneys / Primark and i believe i said out loud an “ooooohhhh” followed by ” I’ll have that”. The women beside me looked out the corner of her eye at this lunatic talking to herself. A brush cleaner for €2.50! I couldn’t wait to get home and try this. I had only cleaned my brushes so I’ve had to wait to use it. Today the wait was over. I took my two most used brushes, being the Real Techniques Expert face Brush and the Powder Brush. I got my lovely brush cleaning towel out and sat on my bed. So weird not having to be at the…

My Magazine Madness

Its no secret that that ive had a long standing magazine dependency. Its not my fault i cant help it. It feeds the soul so its actually quite a healthy addiction. Not like most girls who pick up a mag at lunch to flick through. No kiera clears the whole self weekly and monthly! Then theres the collections issues but thats a whole nother ball game. I always loved mags…the smell (oh the smell), the look, the feel. Thats all before the content. It got much worse when i started college. Then i actually HAD TO buy them. Reading material lol. Piles and piles high of them for trend/moodboards and keeping upto date with goings on in the industry. Hook…

& Other Bag

I had been lusting after this & Other Stories bag for awhile now. Im not sure what it is about it but imjust drawn to it. Its a great everyday bag thats just the right size. I saw the gorgeous blogger Lily Melrose has it and it looks so good.  Photo c/o llymlrs.com On a random trip to Penneys / Primark i spotted this bag. It had very similar qualities to the &OS beauty. I said id pick it up as i needed a bag for my Manchester trip. I wasnt checking on a bag so needed something that was big enough to hold all my “essentials” but small enough that i wont be lugging it round all day. The best…

Lots and lots of culottes

Yep they are back and believe it or not they can be flattering. They actually lengthen your frame adding the illusion of more height. These may look horrid on the hanger or in your mind but try a pair you might be pleasently surprised. Add heels and tuck in a top and your good to go. With trousers becoming more and more prominent on the high street and in street style alike these are a great option. I noticed Penneys still have a rail of their black culottes that were featured in their A/W campaign. These are €17 and so wearable. These are a good alternative to highwaist skirts so a little crop gap looks really cute. Legs together these give…

Bargain Brush Cleaning Hack

Proper make-up brush cleaning is so important for two reasons: 1 — cleaning removes bacteria and dirt that can cause breakouts on your face. A cleaner brush equals a cleaner face and betterresults. And 2— to keep your brushes in good condition. Meaning they will last longer and again you will get better results. A genius invention from Sigma Beauty came on the market which revolutionalised brush cleaningforever. The grooves on the glove are used to wash the bristles by rubbin the brush up and down in a painting motion. A brilliant buy but will set you back $35. If you are loving this idea then you need this €2 oven glove from Penneys/Primark. It will do exactly the same…

Blair Circa Dolce Twelve

For the last while ive been on the look out for an ornate hairband. Think Blair Waldorf meets Dolce & Gabbana circa Winter ’12. I knew what i wanted, just nowhere seemed to have them.River Island did one following the Dolce opulent baroque influence two years ago and it would be perfect. I want one to wear in my hair with upstyles.    Upon my trip to Manchester Primark yet again came to the rescue. I got this little gem for £5. Its metal with silver and rose gold stones. It will definetly do the job.  I will get DIY’ing a D&G type one in the new year. This is a perfect NYE combo. Bit of glitz and a loose updo.…

Manchester Manchester

Christmas week i was lucky enough to visit some lovely friends in Manchester. What a lovely city – totally outdid my expectations. So many gorgeous buildings around town and a mix of culture. I went to some Christmas markets to do some shopping *ahemmm eating and drinking*. Everyone was really in the spirit and the stalls were very authentic. I had the BEST Baileys hot chocolate. Even took home a souvenier mug for the mother. Afterwards we headed back to the main shopping area and inside the Arndale Center. I was really impressed with the shop standards. Even on the busiest week of the year the stores looked great. The British high street take their game seriously and it shows.…
