Modern Stripes

It is no secret that i am obsessed with stripes. Season in season out they are ever present in my wardrobe. There is barely a time that there is not a striped piece in my shopping basket or wishlist. Generally speaking my attraction to stripes is basic monochrome but i do enjoy a colored stripe every now and then. Of late there has been a shift in this print. More and more colours are being seen with the width of the stripes varying and the direction of the pattern itself. Although stripes are a classic wardrobe staple, it is nice to have a modern take on the look. This can be achieved through tops, shirts, skirts, trousers, jumpsuits you name it,…

Fifty Friday | Bardot Business

It is no secret that i think bardots are the business. Alongside stripes and sleeveless waistcoats, i bang on a lot about these. Dresses or tops, this is my neckline of choice. I think they are super flattering on. I feel they cut me just right and cover my upper arms perfectly. There is something really retro about a bardot, just think of where the name came from. A great go to in summer to show off bronzed shoulders. That is not to say they are a right off the rest of the year. You can get chunky knit jumpers and ribbed tops in this cut that will be weather and wardrobe appropriate. Here are a few looks featuring a…

Styling February Edition | In Tallaght Magazine

I was absolutely delighted to be asked back to style a second issue for In Tallaght Magazine. I enjoyed the first so much that i jumped at the opportunity to come back again. I am in my element here pulling looks and styling them together. This month with it being February, the theme was Valentine’s Day. You can’t really pass this holiday by – all that love in the air. For the shoot we focused in on ‘date night’ looks. We kicked off in Nando’s for the first shot. A cheeky chicken date that is standard of a date night. Weather it is with the love of your life or a mate date. Two dressy casual outfits that are easy to put together…

Golden Globes | Red Carpet Round-up

Award Season is now upon us. Kicking off the main events is the Golden Globes. Known for it’s red carpet style, this year is certainly no different. All in all i am impressed and pleased with the looks tonight. No major risks took but not too safe either. Jlo pulled an Angelina with her leg posed out of her mustard Giambattista Valli gown . She looks smoking hot though. I waited and waited for my usual reliable Kate Hudson. Yes her body is amazing in Micheal Kors but this look let me down. The colour washes her out and is too nude. Just not a yes for me.  A couple of themes were very evident on the carpet tonight. From jewel tones to white…

Fifty Friday | New Year New Looks

Well here it is, the first Fifty Friday of 2016. For those that are not familiar with this, FF is a weekly post consisting of outfits for in or about €50. Affordable fashion at it’s finest. Most week’s will have a theme that all the looks will follow. I try to get in under or as close to budget as i can but also get as much value for money as possible. Times are hard but a girl’s still gotta shop. With this new year upon us, i wanted to do something well, new. Most stores are still cluttered with sales and sequins. Bikini’s are appearing but our weather is not permitting. What do you wear in January. I decided…
