Ibiza Photo Diary

The last few weeks have got me really excited for Summer. My favourite time of year, to head off to the sun, wear pretty little dresses and make memories. Plans are being made, virtual baskets and wishlists are being filled. It got me thinking about last Summer and how amazing it was. I realised i never really shared these shots i took in Ibiza. Besides a quick trip to London , this was my first time bringing my camera away. I have the . I adore this so much and it is undoubtedly the best thing i ever bought. It was so much fun capturing these moments to treasure and look back on. I thought i’d put some of them together…

Fashion Favourites | January & February

Fashion Favourites   I have to say really enjoyed putting together my fashion favourites from 2016. So much so that i said i’d give it a go on a monthly or seasonally basis depending on what i have to share. Why not kick it off with January and see how the year goes. It is fun to look back on the things that i have lived in and remind myself of pieces or styles to try out again. These type of posts are almost famous in the beauty genre and i always find it interesting to see what others like and maybe take some inspiration for myself. So here we go with my fashion favourites and wardrobe winners from last…

Get The Van Look

If you are a fan of the ‘Vans’ look but haven’t got the paper to spare then these could be for you. €10 in Penneys for a heavily influenced style. I have a pair of the Vans on my wishlist but these would do the job till i get that far down my list lol. Extremely affordable. I put together two ways to wear here going forward. The monochrome looks really well against white denim. As much as i keep saying it, runners like these are a really comfy but cool addition to your day to day wardrobe. So many ways to wear these little casual shoes. Here are two examples of how to wear.     Choker…

Spring Occasion Looks | Modern Pastels

Pastels for Spring? To phrase one Mrs Priestly – “groundbreaking” right? Not quite but this year they have taken on a modern twist by hooking up with another trend. By adapting the soft pastel tones with a hint of metallic, it breaths some life into them. Not harsh or brassy but rather current and chic. Whilst putting together some looks for Spring occasions i thought i would take them from this point of view. Two birds one stone and all those other cliches. A prime example of the look i am talking about can be seen in the first outfit below. I adore this dress! Confirmation, Communion and Christening appropriate too cause i know a lot of you will be looking. Replacing…

Spring Wedding | What We Wore

I have been busy putting together some wedding guest looks for a post. I was somewhat side tracked as i had to find myself one too lol and my mother and my sister and you know the aul fella chimed in too feeling left out of the action. Tick Tock, Tick Tock. Thank the online gods for express delivery is all i say. Posts with outfits for weddings and other church occasions are highly requested and i get why. It can be hard to tick all the boxes for such a big day. Skirt For Weddings I personally had an idea in my head that i wanted for this family wedding. Sometimes that can be a bad thing because nothing was…

Ways To Wear | Penneys Embroidered Dress

This little embroidered number from Penneys had it’s first outing on me last week. I am happy to report back that it is such a comfortable wear. Layered here with one of my longtime wardrobe heroes, a faux fur gilet. Tights were essential though! It was only €14 which is crazy affordable for a piece like this. I’m looking forward to getting more wear of this dress and styling it some more ways too.     I like the fit and the styling possibilities are endless. Day or night. Work or play. With or without tights. Summer or winter. You can’t argue with those options. This dress looks like nothing on the hanger. It also looks pretty shapeless. Add a…

€8 Penneys Bardot Dresses

I am more than aware that all i have posted or talked about lately is Penneys. Don’t get me wrong i have always been a massive fan and shared my favourite finds and buys from my latest shopping trip. It has just gotten so much worse though. There is nearly not a day that goes by that i am not like ‘ohhh’ or ‘okay i need that’ and i just can’t help but post about it. Money isn’t exactly flush for peeps so to see some really affordable pieces that can instantly update a tired winter wardrobe is exciting. There are a few things i rely on every year from Penneys and this year is no different.     Dress €8…

I Never Promised You A Rose Garden

Rose print has been popping up more and more everywhere of late. Moving on nicely from the rock ‘ n ‘ roll movement that has been dominating the style scene of late. Just in time for Val / Gal Day. First we had embroidered patches and details that roses where a really popular choice for. Then came the band tees – think Guns And Roses. I started to see some more feminine pieces with an all over floral print and thought this was worthy of a little spotlight. There are plenty of styles and choice available in the shops at the moment in all sorts of colours and fabrics. I concentrated on the black and red colourway though with a glam…

Fifty Friday | Penneys January ’17

It is always a tricky one this time of year. Everyone is still broke and wrecked after the festive period. January can be such a long cold month that is just mehhh on so many levels. The shops are no better either really. You have either got bitty sale rails still hanging around or full on summer clothes. Most of the new season pieces that have arrived are out of the New Year budget for most of us. There is one place that wouldn’t see us stuck though. Our old reliable friend Penneys. Yes, they have some great reductions in-store and yes their swimwear section is filling up fast , but they haven’t forgot about the here and now. Bringing you pieces…
