Blair Circa Dolce Twelve

For the last while ive been on the look out for an ornate hairband. Think Blair Waldorf meets Dolce & Gabbana circa Winter ’12. I knew what i wanted, just nowhere seemed to have them.River Island did one following the Dolce opulent baroque influence two years ago and it would be perfect. I want one to wear in my hair with upstyles.    Upon my trip to Manchester Primark yet again came to the rescue. I got this little gem for £5. Its metal with silver and rose gold stones. It will definetly do the job.  I will get DIY’ing a D&G type one in the new year. This is a perfect NYE combo. Bit of glitz and a loose updo.…

Manchester Manchester

Christmas week i was lucky enough to visit some lovely friends in Manchester. What a lovely city – totally outdid my expectations. So many gorgeous buildings around town and a mix of culture. I went to some Christmas markets to do some shopping *ahemmm eating and drinking*. Everyone was really in the spirit and the stalls were very authentic. I had the BEST Baileys hot chocolate. Even took home a souvenier mug for the mother. Afterwards we headed back to the main shopping area and inside the Arndale Center. I was really impressed with the shop standards. Even on the busiest week of the year the stores looked great. The British high street take their game seriously and it shows.…

Invisible lip liner

Lipstick lovers the world round know that lip liners are your best friend. When the 90’s landed back in fashion so too did lip liner. It does exactly what it says on the tin, well pencil actually. It lines your lips giving more definition and keeps the colour from bleeding. Its not always easy to match a liner to your lipstick shade. Enter the invisible lip liner. All the benefits of a normal liner but the beauty of this pencil is it works with any colour lipstick. Plus because its transparent you dont have to worry about staying inside the lines. This is a yay from me as im not the best at lines myself. It works with lipstick or lipgloss.…

Wet N Wild lips

Bordly browsing the aisles of Dunnes Stores brushing shoulders with the grannies and dodging trolleys. I took solis in the beauty aisle and spotted this lippie from https://www.facebook.com/wetnwildcosmetics.They have a good selection of lipsticks in Vamp shades. I picked up this one in ‘Dark Wine’. I’ve been after a sold out MAC Cosmetics lippie in ‘hearts a flame’ i thought this was close enough. After swatching it but it seems more like a dupe for ‘Viva glam 4’ from MAC. i think its the lustre finish and creamy texture. The pigment is great it went on fab. For €1.99 i grabbed it as i think i’ve lost my Viva Glam (sad face). Im going to look into this brand more, although the name leaves a…
