Pastels for Spring? To phrase one Mrs Priestly – “groundbreaking” right? Not quite but this year they have taken on a modern twist by hooking up with another trend. By adapting the soft pastel tones with a hint of metallic, it breaths some life into them. Not harsh or brassy but rather current and chic. Whilst putting together some looks for Spring occasions i thought i would take them from this point of view. Two birds one stone and all those other cliches.
A prime example of the look i am talking about can be seen in the first outfit below. I adore this dress! Confirmation, Communion and Christening appropriate too cause i know a lot of you will be looking. Replacing the typical Spring floral with pretty laces and jacquard prints. I seem to have took a very pink approach here but there is so much of that colour about at the moment there was loads to choose from. Not your average run of the mil pastel shades though. More lilac tones , soft mint and baby blues.
A simple light blazer or cape can be easily be added to any of these looks for the Church side of the day. Underneath will be a real show-stopper that will have you feeling amazing for your day. A look that will see you through any special occasion.
How do you feel about this take on pastels for your Spring occasions this year? Hopefully this is only part one with a lot more looks and styles to come for Wedding guests , Christenings , Confirmation and Communion Mammy’s.
