I am still wearing a red jumper that i got well over a year ago, a lot. Everytime i share it though i get asked is it current stock. Although Penneys have restocked similar, there are so many others options that i’ve seen around. I decided to pop them all in one handy place along with some chit chat and outfit inspo. You know how this blog thing works.
It’s not exactly ground-breaking news but i am a bit of a fan of red. I have been told that it is my colour. It suits my colouring and tone and i enjoy how it looks. It’s a fun statement colour that can easily add a pop where needed. Knitwear is a great place to add some much needed colour into your wardrobe. A bold piece that is functional cause lets not forget that we don’t live in the tropics. I think it is a handy one to have especially around the festive period. Not something that will be sacraficed because of trends but more of a wardrobe staple. Chuck on for easy, cozy, comfort that won’t have you fading into the background.
Being a wardrobe staple it is so easy to style. A simple red jumper goes with so many pieces and looks. I’ve worn mine so many times and in so many ways. You might have seen a few of these looks on here before. Most recently in my post about styling slip nightdresses as actual dresses which you can see here. There was also a very quick post featuring the below layered up look. You can see how the red just pops. It looks really well against the denim. A check shirt underneath looks really cute too. Whether it’s jeans, a pinafore or a skirt you can’t go far wrong with a scarlet geansaí.
For me red goes so well with several prints. Monochrome stripes or polka dots in particular. I really like red and leopard print as a combo too. So many possible combinations with the simplest of wardrobe staples.
