Styling February Edition | In Tallaght Magazine

I was absolutely delighted to be asked back to style a second issue for In Tallaght Magazine. I enjoyed the first so much that i jumped at the opportunity to come back again. I am in my element here pulling looks and styling them together. This month with it being February, the theme was Valentine’s Day. You can’t really pass this holiday by – all that love in the air. For the shoot we focused in on ‘date night’ looks.

We kicked off in Nando’s for the first shot. A cheeky chicken date that is standard of a date night. Weather it is with the love of your life or a mate date. Two dressy casual outfits that are easy to put together and throw on. Comfy but well put together. For her, the emphasis was on accessories. Starting with a monochrome base and building up with red colour accents. Add on or take away as you desire. Keep the chill out but the cool factor in with a floppy hat and wrap. For him, a classic knit jumper and jeans is always a winner. Not too much, but just enough.

For this second look we headed over to Leisure Plex in Tallaght village for a fun, casual date location. The looks followed this vibe too. Comfy wear that will have you free to play away without any worries. Here we showed how to do this casual vibe without loosing style.
For her a striped tee layered with a fur waistcoat. I kept the jeans a bit fancy to keep the look stylish. Finished with matching Converse for this fun filled date. For him it was a nice way to do casual. Tracksuits aren’t the greatest to sport on a date but here we went for a more grown up leisure look. A long sleeve jersey top and complimentary tone of grey in the joggers. The grey trainers tie in well and finish off the look.

After bowling, we changed it up for a quick drink and some games. Not as casual but still nowhere near blacktie. Sophie popped on a shirt dress which are huge this season. Still keeping her comfort but a little more feminine than before. A tan boot gives some height and can dress up a look that bit more. A crossbody bag is perfect for keeping the hands free for playing some games. With him we kept the casual bottoms and added in a dressier polo tee. Complimentary navy shoes to finish. Again the same, he is looking well but casual with comfort.

Our last shot of the day not only required an outfit change but a location change too. We headed over to the Civic Theatre for our dressiest look of the day. A fancier night out to a show that had the glad rags on. You can’t go far wrong with a black dress. Add in some lace for a romantic but dramatic touch. I added in some colour with a pop of red in the clutch and a matching lip. With himself a check shirt and jeans scrubs him up, A nice dressy jacket over to finish off.
