I was lucky enough to get away again, for my annual birthday trip to Turkey. This called for some new Summer bits for a little freshen up against some firm favourites. I said i would put together a quick little Turkey lookbook of some of the outfits that i wore. Hopefully it might serve as some inspo for those who are yet to go away or are lucky enough to have some Winter sun booked.

Turkey Lookbook

The colour palette was pretty standard for me with red’s present and the colour of the summer – yellow. I also gave some blues a go and was pretty happy with the results. Bardot necklines a plenty as standard. Hello it is me. Polka dots were very present too. I pretty much lived in the same lace up sandals and bamboo bag that finished off most of my looks from Marrakech too. You can see that lookbook here. I tried some new shapes / silhouttes and was pleasently suprised.

Mustard Polka Dot Dress

Plus yellow dress

Dress €26 Boohoo (Sizes 16-24) * , Hair Scarf €4 Penneys * , Sunglasses €17 River Island *

Kicking things off with not only one of the colours of the season but also one of the prints of the season. It’s bardot and elasticated so naturally i was all over it. An ideal holiday dress for day to night. I was delighted to find it matched my little hair scarf so well. With tan , white or navy sandals, all of the options where there.

Ruffle A-Symetric Polka Dot Skirt

Plus polka dot skirt

When the wind blows the skirt goes. My face is like dudeee i’m tryna get this for the gram lol. I wore the A-sym skirt with a red halter top also from the plus range. As much as i love a mono colour way the pop of red looks really good against the print. Scroll on to see how i wore it previously in a different way. I’ve enjoyed wearing and styling this skirt this Summer. I’ve said it before but i do think i now need the black version too. It will wear better into the new season.

Salsa-ing my way through life in this skirt of polka lovliness. Originally the black version caught my eye but i’m so glad i went for the white for a change. The top is from last summer but Boohoo are running similar styles. Accessorised here with my favourite bag and midi heels of the Summer. Finished with a teeny pop of colour in the earrings. Yellow on black/white is one of my favourite combos ever.

Stripe Pencil Dress

Flattering plus dress

Plus size dress

Dress €58 V by Very Curve (Sizes 14-28) * , Bag €48 V By Very * , Shoes €29.50 V By Very *

I was both in love with and scared of this dress when i first saw it. The fear came from the length mainly but also because i never wear anything bodycon or straight fitting skirt wise. The colours and sleeves swayed me though. A twist on the classic stripe with more of an abstract stripe. The sleeves sit really nice and add a slight kimono vibe. Really flattering as is the black waist band which draws the eye to the narrowest part of the waist. A possible Autumn Wedding number? I sized up because of my reservations and was really happy with the fit. Finished off style wise with the bag that has not left my hand this Summer and some really manageabe midi heels both from V by Very.

Yellow Polka Dot Playsuit

Yellow polka playsuit

Playsuit €24 Boohoo (Sizes 16-24) * , Hair Scarf €4 Penneys * , Sunglasses €17 River Island *

She wore a not so itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot playsuit? No? K. I was channeling serious Rosie The Riveter vibes with this look. It’s the popped collar and scarf bandana i feel. Keeping with the yellow/mustard theme that has flowed through this season and my wardrobe this Summer. More polka dots too. I have another playsuit in this same shape and cut from Boohoo that you would have seen me wear in Marrakech. It’s a black floral print so i wasn’t sure how forgiving the yellow would be. Playsuits aren’t as scary as they seem and i think this one shows that. I tied a hair scarf as a bandana to compliment the colour and print. I had little navy sandals to match too so it tied in well. Why is Summer over wehhhhh 😣

Bag €48 V By Very * , Dress €22.50 Pretty Little Think Via Next (Sizes 14-28) , Bralet ASOSBag €48 V By Very *

Next up wearing a Pretty Little Thing plus dress which i actually got from Next. The faux overlay on the skirt is really flattering on tummies. The neckline is very plunging. I had pinned mine no issue but lost the pin so that is a little bralet from ASOS underneath. The layered necklaces are super affordable from boohoo too and they look really cool with a neckline like this. Nothing new with the Littlewoods  bag and Penneys shoes.

Polka Dot Midi Skirt

F&F tesco skirt

Sunglasses €17 River Island *, Top €24.99 Simply Be (Sizes 10-32) * ,  Skirt Tesco (Sizes 8-22) , Sandals €32 Boohoo , Bag (Similar Styles Here)

This F&F skirt fast became like a second skin on me and i am more than ok with that. Polka dots are a huge trend this Summer as are midi skirts. I liked the red addition in the print as something different. I have worn this piece so many times this summer. Dressed up , casual , on holidays and day to day at home. I have paired white tees, slogan tees , bardots , reds , yellows and clashing prints so the potential is just. Highly recommended.

Coral Lace Bardot Dress

Plus lace dress

Dress €27.50 V By Very Curve (Sizes 16-28 ) * , Bag €48 V By Very * , Shoes (Similar Options Here)

Lights. Camera. And all that jazz. Savouring every last bit of Summer style before the dreaded winter. This lace layered bardot dress is from the V by Very Curve range  on littlewoods Ireland. I even took snaps with friends from the side in this and didn’t hate them so it was extremely flattering on. Bardot plus lace is a winner for me.

That is it for what i actually photographed lol. I cannot believe Summer is over, i refuse to accept it. Definetly my favourite season for dressing. The countdown is on for next year!

* I am lucky enough to be gifted items from brands. This does in no way influence my thoughts or decisions. All opinions are my own. Any pieces i receive i have choose myself and am very grateful. I only wear/share things that i really love.
