Sunday the 28th of June held the first Ultimate Girls Day Out Event in the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin. The event was ran and organised by make-up artist and blogger Rebecca from Lipstick, Glitter & Me. The day was an amazing success for all involved and all who attended.
The was a great atmosphere in the venue. A jam packed day with something always happening or going on. Ticket holders were free to browse the stands and talk with the professionals about their brands and products. There was shows and demos running through out the day with lots to see and learn. There was also lots of shopping to be done with stands full of fashion and accessories.
Early Bird ticket holders received a goodie bag as they entered the venue. There was also some extra bags as a treat for then for the first few guests to pay at the door. The bags contained products, discounts, freebies and treats. As the day went on there was lots of product giveaways too. One for everyone in the audience LOL. As a little extra, the early bird ticket holders got a complimentary nail paint from the gorgeous Carrie. All others could avail of special price on the day for a paint or 3 week polish.
There was a fashion show half way through the day were all guests were invited to take a seat and watch. The clothes were modeled by some gorgeous girls. Several of them being non-pros that did an amazing job. I think it is great to see clothes on real girls of different ages and sizes as fashion is for everyone. The clothes were from The Boutique Rathcoole and Sylvannas in dun Laoighre. Some great occasion-wear and wardrobe staples were seen.
My favorite demo of the day was done by none other than Rebecca herself. Becky used Motives Cosmetics to show a ‘contoured look’. The demonstration was commentated by the fab Debbie from Decadent Beauty. This is a stunning brand with really hard working products. The star of the show was the Miami Bronzer that is a favorite of Jennifer Lopez. In fact the product is named after her.
A demo that really interested me was about self tanning. Something i’d given up trying a longtime ago. This demo and product has me rethinking my decision though. The Tan to me would fulfill my tanning needs forever. The creator Jennifer showed us The Tan’s unique selling points. It is hydrating, doesn’t have that horrid smell that comes with most tans and it has a great fade. Three things we all want from a self tanner. After seeing the model sprayed she had an even natural bronzed glow. I will admit i was super jealous. I cannot wait to call over to The Vanity Rooms and try The Tan out for myself.
A really Popular stand on the day was the Glove Your Body stand. It was lovely to meet the ladies and they were so informative about their products. This was a bonus as the gloves sell themselves really. If you haven’t seen these yet then check them out. There is the Tanning Mitt €19.99 and the Exfoliating Mitt €9.99. Using these together really will revolutionise self tanning and they are machine washable. Even for those whop don’t use tan. The exfoliating mitt will leave your skin fresh and smooth.
Yamini Mehendi was at the event with her beautiful Henna art. This type of temporary henna tattoos on hands are really in fashion at the moment. Now its ‘Summer’ and festival season is upon us these henna will look amazing. Something different to try out on a girls day.
I was delighted to see Tiger Lily Salon at the event. Forever now i have wanted laser hair removal. This was a great opportunity to speak to them about this in more detail. My sister was really interested in the HD brows they offer. This is a fab salon with great reviews. There was also vouchers for €5 off any treatment in the salon for those at the event.
Rebecca Herself had her own range of make-up and brushes for sale on the day. These were almost a complete sell-out. Make sure to check her Blog page for more info on stock. As an MUA with years of experience she knows what makes a good product. To be able to speak to a professional on a realistic level and get honest advice is very refreshing.
Here is some more snaps of some of the brands who took part in the event.

I had an absolute ball at the event. Truth be told i’m still on a high. I loved chatting with all the lovely girls who attended. That and talking shop with the brands about their products. When is the next one? Who knows, could be very soon ♡
