This little embroidered number from Penneys had it’s first outing on me last week. I am happy to report back that it is such a comfortable wear. Layered here with one of my longtime wardrobe heroes, a faux fur gilet. Tights were essential though! It was only €14 which is crazy affordable for a piece like this. I’m looking forward to getting more wear of this dress and styling it some more ways too.
I like the fit and the styling possibilities are endless. Day or night. Work or play. With or without tights. Summer or winter. You can’t argue with those options. This dress looks like nothing on the hanger. It also looks pretty shapeless. Add a belt if the drop waist silhouette doesn’t suit your shape or appeal to you. Pop a little collar bib underneath, with court shoes and a blazer for work. Roll up the sleeves or leave them as is to peak out of a gilet or sleeveless jacket. With all of this in mind I got putting together some different ways to wear this embroidered dress.
How To Wear
This look is based around adding some silver touches in the accessories. Modern and fresh.
One for a night out in style. Adding heels and a jazzy earring to up the ante.
When Summer shows it’s face. Adding in some gladiator sandals and a coloured bag.
A grown-up, polished take on 70’s boho. Keep warm and cozy on a days shopping.
A stylish but put together day to day look .
Cinch in with a western belt for a summer boho look. Roll up the sleeves for a relaxed vibe.
Dress €14 Penneys , Belt €8 Dorothy Perkins , Bagpack €10 and Sandals €10 Penneys
An all around great dress that will take you from Winter to Summer and back around again. Excellent value for money with a lot of wear to be had. What are your thoughts?
