I snapped these pics while i was in Marrakech to show you a little Summer hack that i use each and every year. I’ve always found it very hard to get a wide fit anklet to fit comfortably around my ankle. I had to come up with a comfortable and readily available solution myself. For the last forever i have been buying these bracelet packs from Penneys for just that reason.
Seriously affordable at €4 a pack. There is lots of stretch in the beaded elastic so you can just pop onto your ankle. Layer them up, match colours to your outfit, have some fun. Even if they break off you have loads left. Also compared to say silver or gold types these are perfect for getting wet and not tarnishing or leaving your ankle green. Sun cream , the sea , chlorine from the pool all turn these types off colour really quickly so there is another reason to love this bracelet hack. So pretty, bohemian and a nice little touch for Summer. It is also worth looking at the little reduced section of the jewellery as these bits can go down to as little as a euro so can be stocked up really affordably.
Some of the bracelets in the sets even come as tie styles so you could adjust accordingly. Unfortunetly i was silly and never looked at the back of the pack pictured above, and they were all pre-tied with no opening so they didnt fit well. I have never had this problem before though and i could tie two together really if i wanted to. Needs must. They fit my mam and sister no bother though. My swollen ankles where to blame i’d say.
Another random thing i did this summer was wear the chocker part of a layered necklace on my ankle and it fit fine. It didn’t go near my neck but i said i’ll find a use for this. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. That’s it on me there below. I just closed it on the smallest link and left the rest of the chain hanging.
Wide Fit Anklets
If you are a wide fit , a plus gal or just like a bit of room there are some options. I’ll link so more below.
What did you think of this little summer hack? Is it one you would try? Never be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to fashion.
