Woman’s not hot… both literally and physically. Today was my first day leaving the house in a week and that required lots of layers but not much thought. I quickly decided on wearing the same red jumper denim shirt combo that i wore this day last week. See i said no thought. I went for a different pair of jeans though as i wanted to wear my tan chelsea boots and these jeans sit on them the best i feel. The fluffy warmth was tonal of the boots which worked out well. Nothing new really here except the H&M bag which i had to have from the moment i saw it, infact i posted about it here. The jumper is a recent enough purchase too from Penneys. The rest are staples that have been in my wardrobe awhile. Oldies but goodies.
Red goes without saying for me this year and especially for December you just have to. So far i have been living in this jumper. I think it was actually reduced too in Penneys so if you are in the market for a festive knot the sale area might be worth a look. Today to keep the chill out and cause i absolutely love the look of a jumper/shirt combo i popped a denim shirt underneath. It adds another element and depending on the shirt you chose – colour , texture and/or print. Denim was the choice for me because it is both warm and the wash looks so good against the red. Obvs paired with jeans meaning double denim for the win.
This will forever be one of my favourite combos to wear – jumpers with shirt collars showing. A little bit preppy but i like it. I’ve been wearing this a lot the last few weeks, purely for warmth in layers but also because its so comfy and easy yet it looks put together. I think so anyways lol. Sometimes it’s just a denim on denim kinda day with a red knit for the season that’s in it. I don’t why but yeah shirts peaking out under jumpers will always be something go back to. Especially denim shirts. See it is possible to work double denim without looking like THAT Britney & Justin Pic. Right now it is all about them layers…. BURRRRR.
What are you wearing this December to keep out the cold? Have you any favourite combos you go back to time and time again?
